About Us

The Treacher Collins Family Support Group was set up in 1987 by a group of parents to meet the needs of families and individuals. The aims of the group is to offer support and friendship to Treacher Collins families and individuals. We also seek to gain greater knowledge and understanding of the Syndrome.

The TCFSG is made up of individuals with Treacher Collins and parents. Every few years we arrange a family activity weekend. Where families and individuals can meet up and share their experiences, and young and old can enjoy some relaxing or more enduring activities. We also hold yearly gatherings at an attraction, such as a zoo or museum. Keep an eye on the home page, or join the facebook group to updated with the latest events.

There is an ever-growing facebook community, where members are always happy to offer advice and help you with any questions you may have.

The support group also offers advice to families and individuals on various aspects of the syndrome. Including areas such as facial surgery, hearing aids and genetic counselling for Treacher Collins families and individuals.

At Present we are gathering information on the prevalence and variation of Treacher Collins Syndrome. We actively produce information aimed at both parents/individuals and professionals.

What can you do to help? You can tell us about you and your family, and inform other Treacher Collins families/individuals about our group and community.
